Over the last two years, I decided to shift my focus from the clinical healthcare setting to the technology sector. In doing so, I found and discovered an appetite for creating unique products that have a centralized focus on tackling real-world problems for the user. Within these discoveries, it became a focal point to make a direct impact on the people who use the product and determine if that solves their problems. Unbeknownst to me, empathizing with patients (users) and transforming those thoughts/emotions into a human-centered approach were already a natural ability. What I plan to do in the future is create long-lasting connections with people and ideate on product solutions that benefit both the user and the business. Some design methods and deliverables that I have the most interest in are user interviews and usability testing, design systems, and information architecture.
